Wally is Back!

Former Mets 2B Wally Backman will return to the Mets organization as manager of the Class A Brooklyn Cyclones in 2010. Backman’s comeback is chronicled in “Playing for Peanuts” - a 10-episode TV series about the real lives of minor league players and coaches.

Our camera crews followed Backman’s South Georgia Peanuts during the entire 2007 season – Backman was at the center of controversy for the entire year. During the season, he was hired, fired, re-hired and ultimately named Manager of the Year.
